A filly from the first crop of Spendthrift Farm stallion Cross Traffic was taken for $190,000 during Monday’s session of the Keeneland Yearling sale, the second highest price paid for an offspring of the Grade 1 winner at the marathon auction

Gainesway, agent, was consignor of the gray or roan filly, hip No. 2109, which went to trainer John Servis, agent. The filly is out of Lady Pewitt and is a half-sister to the multiple stakes winner Danzatrice and is from the same family as multiple graded winner and sire Mission Impazible.

Cross Traffic’s sales average of $104,285 is nearly 14 times his stud fee. He has 11 lots remaining in the sale, which runs through Sept. 23.
