$375,000 filly anchors Lord Nelson’s OBS Thursday results

Lord Nelson had his best result thus far at the April 20-23 OBS Spring 2-year-old sale on Thursday when hip No. 782 brought a top bid of $375,000.
John Ballantyne / N B S Stable was the winning bidder on the chestnut filly consigned by Randy Miles, agent.
The filly is out of the Australian-bred mare Fair Star, a daughter of More Than Ready and boasts no less than three Grade 1 horses under the first three dams.
Lord Nelson, who won three straight Grade 1s at age four, is among the leading First-Crop sires at the sale, with an average price of $146,428, over 14 times his stud fee, through the first three days of the auction.
