Spendthrift-Bred Yearlings Shine at Fasig-Tipton July Sale

The first major yearling sale of 2025 took place at Fasig-Tipton in Lexington on July 9th and saw some incredible yearlings go through the ring.
The two highest priced yearling fillies were by Spendthrift Stallions, with the topper being a beast by Vekoma who sold to Kenny McPeek for $345,000. The second highest priced yearling filly came from the first crop of Jackie’s Warrior and sold to Ciannello Bloodstock Services for $310,000. The second highest priced colt from the sale was also from a first crop Spendthrift Sire, this time by Cyberknife with an impressive colt who sold to Mahmud Mouni for $330,000.

The Spendthrift-Bred yearlings were well-received, especially by first crop sires.
Hip #2, a colt by Cyberknife out of Part Of The Charm, who was a fan favorite foal on both Shuttle Tours and TikTok, sold for $120,000 to Jerry Crawford for Donegal Racing.
Hip #63, a filly by Jackie’s Warrior out of the mare Hard Place, sold for $180,000 to Legion Bloodstock who was an agent for Icon Racing.
Hip #11, a colt by Mo Donegal out of the mare Require, who was also a popular stop on the Shuttle Tour sold for $50,000 to Ridethecoattails.
