Bolt d’Oro’s hip No. 1722 brought a winning bid of $600,000 Sept. 14 at the Keeneland Yearling sale to be the top-priced filly of the session.
Consigned by Bluegrass Thoroughbred Services Inc., the dark bay was bred by South Gate Farm, LLC.
The winning bidder was Susan Naylor and is out of the multiple stakes winner Shea D Summer.
“She’s a very nice filly,” said South Gate owner Amy Moore.
“She looked really fast,” said Naylor. “She walked with confidence. She’s a really nice filly. That is the most I’ve ever paid for a horse. But, I loved her, and I just couldn’t stop.”
A top-three Fourth-Crop sire of 2025, Bolt d’Oro has seven stakes winners and eight graded stakes horses to date this year.
