April 8, 2026

A filly from the first crop of champion Jackie’s Warrior broke the :9 4/5 work barrier Wednesday during the third session of the under-tack preview of the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s Spring Sale of 2-Year-Olds in Training,
.The furlong bullet time of :9 3/5 was the fastest for any horses through the first three sessions of the Under Tack Show (VIDEO).
Consigned by Hartley/DeRenzo Thoroughbreds, hip No. 570 is out of Schuylerville S. (G3) winner Brazen Persuasion, who is the dam of stakes-placed Ruggs and five other runners, all who have won.
“We love the pedigree,” Randy Hartley said. “When we saw her, we just loved her. She’s the easiest horse in the world to train. She just does her business, she’s super smart, she carries weight. She did that and just acted like ‘Okay, whatever.’ She can do it so easy. And mentally she’s going to make a great racehorse because nothing bothers her.”
The dark bay Kentucky-bred is scheduled to sell on April 15, the second session of the four-day auction.
Jackie’s Warrior has a total of 18 individuals schedule to sell during next week’s auction. After covering an average of 177 mares in his first four years at stud, Jackie’s Warrior stands in 2026 for $25,000 S&N.
