Arabian Lion, along with fellow Spendthrift Freshman sires Forte and Taiba, had robust results at Tuesday’s Fasig-Tipton July Selected Yearlings sale on Tuesday in central Kentucky.

Leading the way for Arabian Lion was hip No. 77, a filly consigned by Gainesway, agent and purchased for $270,000 by Baccari Bloodstock and Ken McPeek. The filly was bred in Kentucky by Aston Equine.

Out of the Declaration of War mare Declarative, the filly, who is already named Arabian Lioness, is a half-sister to stakes-placed Le Tourniquet. This is also the immediate family of Grade 1 winner Cuvee and champion Untapable.

A son of 2018 Triple Crown winner Justify, Arabian Lion’s next sales offerings will come at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Select Yearling sale in early August.
