Into Mischief atop Keeneland sale with $3.7 million colt

Into Mischief had the top price through the first two days of the Keeneland September sale after the conclusion of Book 1 when hip No. 242 hammered for a stratospheric $3.7 million.
The colt was consigned by John Gunther’s Glennwood Farm. Gunther, in partnership with Eurowest Bloodstock, bred the bay youngster in Kentucky.
The winning bidder was team of M.V. Magnier and Peter Brant’s White Birch Farm.
“He was just a big strong colt, tremendous walk and a great presence about him,” said Gunther. “And I’ve never had so much vet work done on a yearling ever. I mean, everybody loved this colt.
“They mentioned that he’s going to stay in the U.S. and race here. So that makes me feel really good as well.”
The colt is out of Grazie Mille and is a half-brother to Grade 1 winner Mo Town and multiple stakes winner Justique.
Through the first two sessions Into Mischief had 14 lots sell, with six of them bringing at least $1 million and averaging $1,083,928.
