Goldencents colt stretches out to break maiden

September 6, 2018

Seven Scents outfought Magnificent McCool to win a one-mile maiden special weight race Sept. 6 at Los Alamitos by a length to give the 2-year-old Goldencents colt his first victory (VIDEO).

Seven Scents is the 12th winner for his sire, who leads all First-Crop sires by winners and progeny earnings

After stalking the pace for the first six furlongs, Seven Scents rallied three-wide on the final turn, then put away Magnificent McCool late to claim the victory.

The winner is owned by Six-S Racing Stables and Shirley Barron and was bred in Kentucky by FPF LLC. Seven Scents is the second foal out of Forever Vow and is from the same family as Brooklyn H. (G1) winner Chief Honcho.
