Another stakes winner for Into Mischief

December 9, 2012

Into Mischief got his second stakes winner of the weekend when Vyjack won the $75,000 Traskwood S. Sunday at Aqueduct. With Sittin At the Bar taking the $100,000 Louisiana Lassie S. on Saturday, Into Mischief now has three stakes winners from his first crop, the second-most of all freshman sires.

Vyjack is perfect in two starts after his 5 3/4-length romp in the seven furlong Traskwood. The 2-5 favorite stalked the pace in second for the first half-mile, took over easily nearing the homestretch, then dispatched his foes easily to stop the timer in 1:24.38 over the sloppy racetrack. The outstanding effort earned Vyjack an excellent Beyer Speed Figure of 96.

Vyjack broke his maiden going 6 1/2-furlongs a month ago, also at Aqueduct. He has now earned $82,200 for his owner Pick Six Racing. The bay juvenile is out of the unraced mare Life Happened, who is a half-sister to the multiple Grade 3 winner Disco Rico.
