Cross Traffic’s Here Mi Song was victorious in the Jeff Hall Memorial Stakes on July 22nd at Ellis Park, earning him his second stakes triumph of 2023. The speedy gray recorded a Ragozin number of 6 3/4 in the process, which represents the fastest earned in all stakes races run in North America that week.

Already a graded stakes winner earlier this year in the Grade 3 Commonwealth Stakes at Keeneland, Here Mi Song adds another stakes win to his resume beating a solid field made up of multiple stakes winners. Here Mi Song sat comfortably in the third position, shaking loose around the far turn, and held off the late-finishing O Besos to win by a neck. The 6 1/2-furlong race was run in 1:16.06.

Owned by breeder Nathan Hayden, the William Stinson Jr. trainee was piloted by jockey Alex Achard to his sixth overall victory. Here Mi Song has only been out of the money four times in 21 starts and boasts earnings of over $675,000. Out of the Dehere mare Mi Viera, Here Mi Song is bred on an A++ nick.
