Into Mischief filly dominates in Spa debut

July 26, 2017

Trouble for Skylar rolled to an eight-length maiden special weight win on July 26 at Saratoga in the racing debut for the bay 2-year-old Into Mischief filly.

After some early pressure from Super Stone and Climb the Ladder, Trouble for Skylar was too much to handle in the stretch, as she drew off with complete authority to finish the 5 ½-furlongs in 1:05.69 on a “good” main track.

The winner is trained by Danny Gargan for prominent owner Midwest Thoroughbreds. Trouble for Skylar was bred by TLC Thoroughbreds and is a half-sister to the stakes winner Flatterwillgetyou.

A top-five sire by winners, with 106 to date in 2017, Into Mischief’s 3-year-olds have been particularly strong this year, with the likes of Dwyer S. (G3) winner Practical Joke and Southwest S. (G3) winner One Liner just two of his nine 3-year-old stakes winners.
