A Jimmy Creed colt with a stakes-filled female family garnered a top bid of $160,000 during the Wednesday session of the April 20-23 OBS Spring 2-year-old sale.
Consigned by Jesse Hoppel’s Coastal Equine LLC, hip No. 472 went to Matt Dohman.
The Kentucky-bred dark bay is out of the unraced Rock Hard Ten mare Angel’s Flight, who is a half-sister to Charles Whittingham Memorial H. (G2) winner Tale of a Champion, multiple Grade 3 winner Ilusora, and Grade 3 winners Bandua and Mr. Roary.
Jimmy Creed, who stands for $10,000 this year, is in the top 10 on both the 2021 Fifth-Crop Sire list and the Cumulative Fifth-Crop list. He is the sire of the earners of over $12 million, 15 black type winners and four Grade 1 performers.
