Jimmy Creed’s first 2021 Keeneland yearling goes for $220,000

September 16, 2021

Jimmy Creed’s first offering at this year’s Keeneland September Yearling sale brought a robust $220,000 when he went through the ring during Thursday’s session.

Cataloged as hip No. 932 and consigned by Shawhan Place LLC, agent for Glendalough LLC, the colt was purchased by Frank Brothers, agent for the powerful Starlight Racing Stable.

The chestnut Kentucky-bred is out of the Flatter mare Undo, making him a half-brother to stakes winners Logical Myth and Crystalle. Undo is a full sister to Super Derby (G2) winner Apart.

Jimmy Creed is the sire of 15 stakes horses this year, including the Grade 1 Jaipur S. winner Casa Creed. His 13.16% of stakes horses from winners ranks top five nationally, above sires such as Tapit, Speightstown and Medaglia d’Oro.

Jimmy Creed has 16 lots remaining in the Keeneland sale, which runs through Sept. 24.
