The Sept. 10-23 Keeneland Yearling sale has yielded fantastic results for leading sire Into Mischief, and Wednesday was no exception, with eight lots bringing at least $250,000, topped by a $650,000 colt.

Hip No. 576, consigned by Ashview Farm, was the day’s topper for his sire, with Shadwell Estate Company the winning bidder for the bay colt. Out of Well Spring, the colt is a half-brother to multiple graded winner Mendip and stakes winner Dig Deep, while his second dam is the multiple Grade 1 winner Chaposa Springs.

Not far behind was hip No. 670. The Taylor Made Sales Agency offering went to Mike Ryan, agent, for $500,000. The filly’s dam Ava Pie is a daughter of graded winner Lakenheath and a half-brother to the classy stakes winner The Truth or Else.

Wednesday’s session ended with 11 lots by Into Mischief selling for an average of $301,363. The book 1 portion of the sale concludes tomorrow, with five more Into Mischief’s juveniles scheduled to go through the ring.
