The second day of the OBS Under Tack show featured a pair of bullet workers by Spendthrift Farm’s leading Second-Crop sires Mitole and Omaha Beach.

Both 2-year-olds posted furlong moves of :9 3/5-seconds, the fastest time through the first two days of the April 7-13 Under Tack show. The auction itself runs April 16-19.

Mitole’s hip No. 335, consigned by Hartley Derenzo Thorougbreds LLC, is out of the Into Mischief mare Mischief Galore and was bred in Kentucky. She will sell on Wed., April 17.

Omaha Beach’s bullet worker, hip No. 308, will also sell on Wednesday. Consigned by Omar Ramirez Bloodstock, agent, the bay Kentucky-bred is the first foal out of the unraced Frosted mare Marla. She is a half-sister to multiple graded winner Envoutante.

Omaha Beach is currently the leading Second-Crop sire of 2024 with a pair of stakes winners and eight black-type horses. Mitole, who was the champion freshman sire of 2023, is currently third on the Second-Crop list.
