Race Day got his second stakes winner Saturday when Mom’s Red Lipstick fought her way to a three-quarter length victory in the $75,000 Arlington-Washington Lassie S. at Arlington Park (VIDEO).

The 2-year-old filly, who won her debut on July 13, is undefeated in two starts and has earned $61,200 for owner/breeder Lothenbach Stables.

Much like she did in her debut, Mom’s Red Lipstick set off the pace and made a middle move to get closer, then ran down Spitefulness in the stretch to get the seven furlongs on the synthetic surface in 1:24.55.

Race Day, one of the fastest ever winners of the Oaklawn H. (G2), now has seven overall winners, topped by Mom’s Red Lipstick and Texas Thoroughbred Futurity winner Gee She Sparkles.

Sweet Lorraine, dam of Mom’s Red Lipstick, produced a full sister to her in 2018.
