Alan Turing’s extremely gallant effort in Wednesday’s $200,000 Commentator S. at Saratoga earned the 4-year-old son of Omaha Beach his first stakes win in what was his added-money debut.

The leading Fourth-Crop sire with nearly $5 million in progeny earnings to date, Omaha Beach has five stakes winners in 2026.

After breaking from post three, Alan Turing was guided over to the inside rail behind horses, setting him up early for his late-race heroics. Content to sit in the pocket on the backstretch and into the final turn, Alan Turing crept up into second behind Dr. Kraft with a quarter-mile to run. Just after turning for home, Alan Turing slid through a narrow opening to take the lead. After a hard-fought stretch run, Alan Turing finished a half-length winner.

Bred and owned by Gallaghers Stud, Alan Turing is out of stakes-winner Honoria and is now 4-5-1 in 15 starts, with earnings of $341,828. Since being switch from turf to dirt in early December, Alan Turing has finished outside the top three only once in six starts.
