Cyberknife colt hammers for $310,000 at OBS June sale

First-Crop sire Cyberknife had one of the top three colts during Thursday’s closing session of the OBS June 2-year-olds in Training sale when hip No. 995 brought a winning bid of $310,000.

Consigned by First Call, agent, the colt went to MorPlay Racing LLC.

The colt, who had breezed a furlong in :10 1/5 during the Under Tack show, was bred in Kentucky by Warran J. Harang. The chestnut is out of multiple stakes winner Vertical Vision, who is the dam of Prioress S. (G2) winner Vertical Oak, herself the dam of G1-placed Giant Mischief.

Cyberknife, a son of leading sire Gun Runner, won both the Haskell S. (G1) and Arkansas Derby (G1) during his 3-year-old season that also included runner-up finishes in both the Travers (G1) and Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile (G1). Cyberknife entered stud in 2023 and has bred an average of 187 mares in his first three years at stud. He stands this year for $15,000 S&N.
