Forte, the Champion 2-year-old Male of 2022, got his stud career off to a hot start when his first weanling hit the sales ring at the Keeenland November sale, with three lots bringing $300,000, and 14 individuals surpassing the $100,000 mark.

Hip No. 205 was Forte’s first offering to hit his high-water mark. Consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, the filly went to Brenam Bloodstock. The dark bay filly is the second foal out of the Ghostzapper mare Spirit Dance, who is a half-sister to stakes winner and GSP Dance Again.

Second to gavel for $300,000 was hip No. 576, a colt consigned by Stoneriggs Farm. The bay colt was purchased by Tiago Bloodstock and is the second foal out of Sea Song, who is a half-sister to stakes winners Proven Strategies and Corona Bolt.

Rounding out the $300,000 trio was hip No. 884, a filly consigned by Warrendale Sales, agent and purchased by Blackberry Lodge. The dark bay filly’s dam Majestic Jewel, a half-sister to millionaire and multiple Grade 1 winner Evening Jewel, is the dam of stakes winner Concept.

Forte carried his precociousness at two into his 3-year-old season, when he won the Florida Derby (G1), where he defeated Kentucky Derby (G1) winner Mage, Jim Dandy S. (G2) and Fountain of Youth S. (G2). Joining the Spendthrift stallion roster in 2024, he bred 154 mares in 2025. His 2026 fee is $35,000 live foal.
