Pure Eloquence rolls by five lengths to become first winner for Known Agenda
June 19, 2025

Known Agenda got his first winner on June 19 at Gulfstream Park when Pure Eloquence romped home a five-length winner in a five-furlong maiden special weight turf race for 2-year-olds.
The chestnut colt, who was making his career debut for trainer Jack Sisterson, wasted no time getting to the lead as he quickly went up by a length in the first furlong. As he hugged the rail around the turn, Pure Eloquence opened up a two-length lead as he turned for home, then responded willingly in the stretch and scampered away from the field to stop the timer in :55.92 on the firm turf.
Pure Eloquence is owned by David Grund and JWS Racing LLC and sold for $95,000 at the OBS 2-year-old sale in March. Bred in Kentucky by Titletown Racing Stables, Pure Eloquence is the first foal out of the unraced Kitten’s Joy mare Lily Margaret, who is a half-sister to last year’s Del Mar Futurity (G1) winner Gaming.
Known Agenda, a son of Curlin out of Grade 1 winner Byrama (GB), won the Florida Derby (G1) prior to joining the Spendthrift Farm stallion roster in 2022. In his first three seasons at stud, he bred and average of 102 mares and currently stands for $5,000 live foal stands and nurses.
