Vekoma’s first OBS Spring offering hammers for $325,000

Vekoma’s $325,000 colt, hip 109, at the 2024 OBS Spring 2yo sale – Judit Seipert
Vekoma had his best result to date of the 2-year-old auction season Tuesday at the OBS Spring Sale when his first lot in the catalog sold for $325,000.
Consigned by Kinsman Farm, the colt went to Reeves Thoroughbred Racing.
The second foal out of Hidden Facts, the bay Kentucky-bred had breezed a furlong in 10 seconds flat during last week’s Under Tack Show.
Vekoma, who stands this year for $15,000 live foal, has a total of 23 lots remaining in the sale, which runs daily through Friday. Among his offerings are five juveniles who turned in bullet works of :9 4/5 seconds.
With his much-anticipated first crop to start their careers in the coming weeks, Vekoma has well over 100 named 2-year-olds for 2024.
