Another strong day at Keeneland for Malibu Moon

Malibu Moon

Tuesday, September 10, 2013
Malibu Moon continued his strong run at the 2013 Keeneland September Yearling sale on Sept. 10, the second day of the auction, when a filly by the Spendthrift stallion brought an even $1 million winning bid from Andrew Rosen of Hugo Merry Bloodstock.

The bay filly, who was consigned by Mill Ridge Sales, agent as hip No. 438, was the final yearling to go through the ring in Tuesday's session. A half-sister to Grade 1 winner Power Broker, the filly is out of the stakes-winning Wild Again mare Shop Again.

Malibu Moon is the only stallion at Keeneland this year to achieve two seven-figure prices for his yearlings.

A video of the filly in the sales ring can be seen here.
