Into Mischief 2yo romps in $125,000 My Dear S. in career debut

Come to Mischief, a 2-year-old filly by leading sire Into Mischief, became her sire’s latest exciting stakes winner on June 28th, dominating the $125,000 My Dear Stakes [WATCH RACE] at Woodbine by six runaway lengths in her career debut.

Despite yielding experience to her rivals, Come to Mischief showed immense quickness and athleticism to assume a clear lead out of the gate, and she widened her margin at every call to the finish line, stopping the clock in a crisp 57.19 seconds for five furlongs over the local Polytrack.

The victory, which came under “light handling”, was as easy and decisive as imaginable for a first-time starter facing stakes competition, something that in itself is a rarity. Trained by Nicholas Gonzalez, Come to Mischief earned $60,878 for her owners Horse'n Around Racing Stable and Martha Gonzalez.

The talented bay filly was bred in Kentucky by Brandywine Farm, and is out of the Proud Citizen mare One Act Play. Into Mischief, the No. 1 APEX Sire in North America by A-Runner Index, looks to have his latest top performer contributing to his accolades at stud. He just completed the 2015 breeding season at Spendthrift where he stood for $35,000 stands & nurses, and again was one of the most popular stallions on the continent.
