Friend of Liberty bested Archer City by a length Thursday at Remington Park following a prolonged stretch drive. The 2-year-old filly is the eighth winner from the first crop of Dominus, who ranks in the top 10 on the 2016 Freshman Sire list.

Trained by Steve Asmussen for J. Kirk and Judy Robinson, Friend of Liberty covered the 6 ½ furlongs in 1:16.89 on a fast track. The winner was bred in Kentucky by Mike Abraham and is a half-sister to multiple stakes winner Secret Getaway.
