Easy MSW debut winner for top-10 frosh sire Tiz Wonderful

Friday, October 19, 2012
Wild Billum scored a facile five-length victory in the racing debut for the 2-year-old Tiz Wonderful colt. Going one mile at Laurel Park on Oct. 18, the dark bay juvenile came from tenth after a quarter mile, going five wide on the final turn and ultimately striking the front at the eighth pole, drawing away handily in deep stretch.

Wild Billum is one of seven winners by Tiz Wonderful, who ranks in the top 10 on the North American First Crop sire list. His leading earner is the filly My Happy Face, a 21-length maiden winner who followed up that effort with a game second in the Grade 1 Frizette S.

Bred in Kentucky by Susan Forrester and 4M Ranch, Wild Billum went through the auction ring at the Keeneland September yearling sale in 2011, bringing a winning bid of $140,000.  He is out of the Wild Gale mare Wildlife, dam of Pasco S. winner R Loyal Man.
