Shes Julia Child out-gamed a pair of 2-year-old adversaries in her Dec. 28 maiden special weight victory, with just a head separating the top three finishers in the six-furlong affair at Penn National (VIDEO).

The gray/roan filly is the eighth winner from just 17 starters this year for Freedom Child, easily topping the Maryland first-crop sire list. Grade 2 winner Freedom Child, a son of leading sire Malibu Moon, will stand the 2018 season at Country Life Farm for $3,000 live foal.

Shes Julia Child, who picked up $19,980 in victory, is owned by her breeder Richard Bosshard.
