Goldencents colt rolls in career debut

Friday, August 24, 2018
Musada cruised to a 7 3/4-length maiden special weight win in his six-furlong debut on Friday evening at Evangeline Downs to become the eighth First-Crop winner for Goldencents.

Leaving little doubt from the outset, Musada was away from the gate to quickly open up a two-length lead. From there the outcome was never uncertain as the bay colt was hand ridden through the lane (VIDEO).

Musada was bred by Cypress Bend Farm out of Reata's Quik Punch, a two-time stakes winner of over $200,000.

With two stakes winners and over $420,000 in progeny earnings to date, Goldencents sits atop the Freshman Sire List in both categories.
