Carl Pollard’s homebred Malibu Moon filly Kiss Moon annexed the $300,000 Kentucky Downs Ladies Turf on Saturday to give the 4-year-old her fourth stakes victory since being switched to grass races about 16 months ago.

Kiss Moon faced a stern test in Saturday’s one mile contest, but came away with a neck victory over the always-tough I’m Already Sexy, with graded stakes winner Sunset Glow three-quarters of a length back in third (VIDEO).

With the win, Kiss Moon pushed her lifetime earnings past the half-million dollar mark to $530,496. She has wins in the Mint Julep H. (G3), Ta Wee S. and Hatoof S., all on the grass, as well as finishing second in the 2014 Fantasy S. (G3) on the main track.

Kiss Moon’s win also pushed Malibu Moon’s 2015 progeny earnings past th3 $7 million mark, placing him eighth on the General Sire list.
