Liaison colt tabbed for $150K at Keeneland Monday

Liaison, whose is represented by his first crop at this year's Keeneland September Yearling sale, had a colt bring a winning bid of $150,000 during the Sept. 19 session.

The final price is the highest to date paid for a yearling by the Spendthrift stallion and was more than 23 times his stud fee.

Consigned by Legacy Bloodstock as agent for Spendthrift Farm, hip No. 1895 went to Kings Equine. The colt's dam, Teamgeist, was a multiple graded stakes winner in her native Argentina and is the dam of mulitple graded winner House Rules as well as Win Space, who finished second in the Gold Cup (G1) at Santa Anita.
