Miss Mischief wins $100K H.B.P.A. stakes for second straight year

Diane Manning's Miss Mischief racked up her second consecutive win in Presque Isle Downs' $100,000 H.B.P.A. stakes on Tuesday.

The 5-year-old by Into Mischief, who upped her earnings to $432,908, is one of six stakes horses this year by her sire.

Coming from eighth with a half-mile to run, Miss Mischief came six wide into the stretch to win by a widening 1 1/2-lengths in 1:41 flat for the 1 mile and 70 yards (VIDEO).

Bred in Kentucky by Allen Poindexter, Miss Mischief is out of the stakes-placed Kid Majic, a sister to Grade 1 Del Mar Futurity winner J P's Gusto. Miss Mischief sold for $125,000 at the 2011 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Summer Yearling sale.
