Sixth maiden special weight winner for Into Mischief

Holiday Mischief's 2 1/2-length win Sept. 28 at Remington Park gave his sire Into Mischief his sixth maiden special weight winner from his first 11 runners in his initial crop, led by TDN Rising Star Goldencents, a 7 1/4-length maiden winner at Del Mar with a 93 Beyer Speed Figure.

Breaking from the outside in the field of 12, Holiday Mischief, established himself in third very early, and held that spot for six furlongs, then moved to the front in mid-stretch and pulled clear in the late stages to finish the mile in 1:41.25.

Bred in Kentucky, the bay juvenile was a $25,000 auction purchase at last year's Keeneland September yearling sale by Carter Thoroughbreds, who co-owns with trainer Joe Offolter. Holiday Mischief is out of Darling Daughter, who was third in the Grade 3 Al Sabin H. at Gulfstream Park.
