Thursday, September 20, 2012
Tiz Wonderful's yearlings are making a good impression at the 2012 Keeneland September yearling sale, with a sales average of $40,896, more than three times his stud fee. Tiz Wonderful is also having an excellent year with his first crop of 2-year-olds that have him ranked in the top 10 on the Freshman Sire list.

The top seller for the Spendthrift stallion through 10 days of the sale is hip No. 1217, consigned by Select Sales, agent, and purchased for $170,000 by Stonestreet Stables. The bay colt is out of With My Blessings, already the dam of four winners. With My Blessings is a half-sister to the stakes winners Bully Bones, Approvance and Wishes and Roses.

Stonestreet was also the top bidder for hip No. 2770, going to $95,000 for the bay colt consigned by Blanford Stud. The colt is out of Spring Morning, dam of five winners, including the stakes-placed duo of Nakano and Acajou. The family also counts Grade 2 winner Carson City and Grade 3 winner General Meeting among the first three generations.
