Warrior Forever overcame a couple of troubled moments to emerge a two-length winner in a maiden special weight event on Thursday, making the 2-year-old the 13th winner from the first crop of Warrior’s Reward.

The freshman sire is having an outstanding season with his first crop of runners, with a co-second best five stakes horses and two TDN Rising Stars. His juveniles have also been popular in the sales ring in 2014, with several six-figure horses, led by a $330,000 filly at the OBS March Select sale.

Warrior’s Reward will stand the 2015 season at Spendthrift for $25,000 S&N.

Warrior Forever, bred by Mr. and Mrs. John Link, is a half-brother to $235,462 earner Partly Mocha. He hails from the same family as champion Jewel Princess and multiple graded stakes winner Globalize.
