Warrior's Reward

Monday, August 12, 2013
Warrior's Reward keeps producing the hits at auction, this time with a filly that brought a winning bid of $130,000 at the Aug. 10-11 Saratoga New York Bred Preferred Yearling sale. Just a week ago, Warrior's Reward, whose first crop are yearlings of 2013, had the top-priced filly by a freshman sire at the Saratoga Select sale.

Consigned by Paramount Sales, agent for Spendthrift Farm, as hip No.423, the filly was bought by Niall Brennan on behalf of Marc Keller. The bay filly is out of Princess Zara, a half-sister to Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Mile runner-up Antonius Pius.

By Medaglia d'Oro out of For All You Do, by Seeking the Gold, Warrior's Reward stood the 2013 season at Spendthrift for $15,000 live foal.
